A varicocele is a condition that causes dilated veins in the scrotum. More than three million Americans suffer from varicocele each year. This condition does not require treatment, but surgery can correct the situation if treatment is needed.

To diagnose a varicocele, a primary care physician must perform laboratory tests. After the lab tests, the GP will tell the man what steps can be taken to heal. A varicocele can last for years or a lifetime. Men with the condition experience a range of symptoms, including mild to severe pain, infertility, and shrinkage of the testicles.

The symptoms a man will experience are embarrassing and can prevent him from living an everyday life. Here are eight natural ways to treat varicocele at home to help men cope.

1. Yoga practice helps in the treatment of varicocele.

Yoga can be done in the comfort of your home. You'll need a mat and comfortable clothing to move around. Your yoga poses will increase blood circulation to the testicles and improve fertility.

Yoga can help reduce testicular swelling and promote drainage. One pose you can do is Bridge Pose. Hold for ten breaths and relax. Repeat ten times a day. Shoulderstand can be difficult, but if you can, do it thrice for 30 to 50 breaths.

Another yoga move you should do is meditation. Meditate as needed. When you do, clear your head. Do this every day. One hundred breaths are recommended, but counting is not required. You want to relax while doing these yoga moves.

2. A cold shower helps treat varicocele.

Varicocele is caused by hyperthermia. Infertility occurs when the body overheats. Taking cold showers can be hard to get used to at first, but your body will get used to it over time.

A cold shower can help reduce inflammation and swollen veins. To do this, you must rinse your testicles with cold water for no more than 30 seconds but at least 15 seconds. Rinsing the entire private area with cold water will help you even more, as the veins run everywhere. This can be done multiple times per day. The more you do it, the more it will help your varicocele heal.

It is essential not to use cold water. You don't want to make things worse than they are now.

3. Diet changes can help cure varicocele.

You need to eat foods rich in fiber and antioxidants. A diet rich in antioxidants can protect the testicular veins from their potentially damaging effects. Chemicals in certain foods can damage veins. It improves fertility and the progression of varicocele.

The reason fiber is so good is that constipation can lead to varicocele. Foods rich in fiber can support a regular diet. Eat as many foods rich in antioxidants and fiber as possible each day. Antioxidant-rich foods include chocolate, pecans, red wine, beans, kale, and cauliflower.

High-fiber foods include kale, beans, broccoli, peas, and oats. You should notice an improvement in your fertility and less pain. Your doctor will take you for laboratory tests to see how your symptoms improve.

4. Wearing varicocele underwear can reduce swelling and thus protect the scrotum.

Boxer shorts are considered varicocele underwear. They have more scrotum support than boxers. Supporting the scrotum is essential because it allows proper blood flow to the testicles. Varicocele underwear can reduce the pain you feel with this condition.

When shopping for varicocele underwear, make sure you buy the correct size. You want underwear that is tight enough and tight enough. It would help if you had enough support so blood flow to the testicles is not restricted and the testicles don't get too hot. If you sweat, you need to replace them. Be sure to pack an extra pair after your workout. You don't have to wear them at night either.

If you are in pain, wearing underwear will make the pain disappear. When choosing the right varicocele underwear, stay calm when you put it on. Varicocele is prone to occur at high temperatures.

5. Swimming helps to treat varicocele.

Head to a gym with a pool and do some laps. Swimming is good for varicocele because it keeps the testicles cool. It allows blood to circulate through the veins in the testicular area. Swimming can relax and improve gut health. Infertility is caused by stress.

When you swim, your mind is on swimming and nothing else. You may not be able to swim every day, but swimming a few times a week will improve your fertility and reduce any pain you may experience. If you combine swimming with a healthy diet, you should notice changes in your varicocele.

If you and your partner are trying to have children, your GP can tell you if sperm quality has improved. It should be fine if you do everything you can to heal it. Once you can enhance your fertility and have a baby, you must continue to swim correctly and eat right.

6. Applying ice packs to the testicles can help heal a varicocele.

When using an ice pack, avoid placing it on bare skin. Drape a washcloth over the ice pack and put it on the testicle. Hold it on your testicles for 10 to 20 minutes at a time. It shouldn't feel cold.

There should be a cooling sensation. This can be done daily as needed. The more you do it, the less swelling and pain you will experience. Veins also become less visible. Blood will circulate in your testicles the way it should.

If all of these are happening, your varicocele should be healed. Only a doctor can tell you whether the disease is cured through laboratory tests. You don't have to wear underwear while doing this, as you'll have to keep changing your underwear, especially if you do it multiple times a day.

7. Dietary supplements help to heal varicocele.

Supplements that may help include 1000 mg vitamin C, 1000 mg bioflavonoids, 30 mg zinc, and 400 IU vitamin E 3 times daily. These supplements must be taken daily to see results.

Taking supplements makes sense because sometimes our diets could be better. Therefore, dietary supplements allow us to take in nutrients that we do not eat. Before taking any dietary supplement, you should check with your doctor to ensure there is nothing wrong with it.

Some people cannot take dietary supplements because they can worsen an existing condition (such as high blood pressure). If you take supplements, eat with a full meal, or you may feel nauseous. Additionally, it would help to drink a full glass of water each time you take these supplements. Some supplements come in large doses, so you must ensure they drop.

8. Over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol and ibuprofen can help treat varicocele.

Tylenol and ibuprofen can be taken for pain relief. The pain you feel can range from mild to severe. You can avoid taking Tylenol or ibuprofen as often, especially if the pain is mild. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, take only the dose recommended on the tablet bottle package.

Before you take any over-the-counter medicines, check with your GP to ensure there are no problems. They will tell you if it is safe to take the medicine. In addition to reducing pain, Tylenol and ibuprofen can also reduce swelling.

It would help to get your lab work done to ensure everything is healing as expected. Once cured, taking over-the-counter medications is unnecessary unless the pain returns.
